at Graham Rehabilitation & Wellness
Dr. Amber Hasenmyer has over 16 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries. She also has extensive knowledge and experience in treating vestibular disorders including many causes of vertigo, dizziness, and imbalance. She completed training to become a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS) in 2012. Prior to moving to Seattle in 2013, she practiced physical therapy for 12 years in Austin, Texas. Since moving to Washington, she has continued to focus on the outpatient orthopedic population with a goal of returning patients to their active lives without pain or limitations.
Dr. Hasenmyer offers individualized treatment and instruction towards achieving a prior level of function and minimizing future injuries, while emphasizing that patients are ultimately responsible for their own outcomes. Her approach to treatment places strong emphasis on functional strength, postural education, manual therapy, and core stabilization in a fun and relaxed environment. Dr. Hasenmyer received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas in 1998 where she was also a scholarship athlete on the University of Texas Longhorns Women’s basketball team. She received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas State University in 2000 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University in 2009.
When not in the clinic, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest as much as possible, having developed a passion for hiking and cycling around the Puget Sound, Olympic peninsula, and the Cascades. She loves to travel, and is an avid birder who is always looking for the next new species to add to her lifetime bird count.
