Dr. Brian Graham
Dr. Kyle McKenzie
I’ve had four spinal fusion surgeries between the ages of 16 and 29, with the result being a fused spine from T2 to L2.
I didn’t think chiropractic care would help me because of my many spinal fusions, but I was dead wrong. Now I can’t imagine life without it.
The chiropractic team is rare in that they have experience working with patients that have had surgery on their lower back and I am very thankful for them taking care of me.
I had suffered a herniated disc in my neck in late May, and I was very concerned that I may need surgery. The pain was excruciating. I went to Graham Rehab on referral from a friend and with the combination of chiropractic adjustments and physical therapy I turned the corner in about 4 weeks. I am happy to report that I am now fully recovered. I couldn’t be happier with my results.
Dr. Graham and the entire team made time to see me immediately. Their kindness, commitment, willingness to communicate and provide me with good information and choices gave me hope and a feeling that I had an outstanding team with me.
I got what felt like an honest assessment of my issues and I liked how they spent the time to explain the mechanics of what was going on with my body and what it would take make me better. It worked and I’m better. Now if I have a medical issue, I consult this team as a matter of course.
I have started exercising rigorously again, because I am no longer afraid of hurting myself. I feel calm and confident. I have improved posture and more energy. Now that I am not focused on getting out of pain, or afraid of the next time I will be in pain, I can dive into life! I love the entire staff at Graham Rehab! This is a very special place!!
Dr. Graham told me that by summer, I would be swinging a golf club again. He was right. Best of all I stepped on the golf course for the first time in nearly a year and shot my best round in more than two years .
I feel terrific. I am pretty much pain-free. I sleep better, walk better, sit better and am more relaxed due to being mostly pain-free. What a relief. My stress level has been reduced. And I am better able to manage my health with exercises Dr. Graham recommended.
From the very first moment, my experience with Graham Rehab has been incredibly positive. I feel like I have a partner with a simple shared goal of my optimum functionality.
Terrific group, genuine concern for my well being. My mental state of health has improved, I can continue to stay active playing golf, and other exercises.
For the first time, Dr. Graham diagnosed the true cause of my headaches, and within a matter of months of treatment I was free of headaches and neck pain. After living with the headaches for so long, it felt like a miracle to be free from the pain. Within one month of treatment, my neck pain went from moderate to minimal and I had no headaches. I can’t begin to describe the positive impact Dr. Graham’s treatment has made on my health and quality of life.
Graham Rehab does the BEST job of clearly integrating all aspects of your personal wellness into a comprehensive plan. I love the team at Graham Rehab!
I didn’t know until then that he adjusts extremities as well as spines and necks. My arm is useful again. Now I feel like I can do anything I want to, and I do. I’m healthier overall, rarely am sick, and I have few headaches. I recommend Graham Rehabilitation to anyone who will listen.

The nervous system is the primary control mechanism of the body, and its relationship with the spine is the focus and center of your chiropractor’s medical discipline. The spine provides two primary functions:
- Allows for freedom of movement
- Houses and protects the spinal cord
When vertebrae of the spine become misaligned or fixed due to trauma or repetitive injury, two major consequences will result:
- Range of motion becomes limited
- Spinal nerves emerging from the spinal cord become compromised

Degenerative disc disease and your chiropractor
Current studies conclude that care from a chiropractor is the most effective primary treatment approach for both acute and chronic low back pain. These studies suggest that medical care from a chiropractor is also helpful in preventing future episodes of pain. This process of continual assessment and adaptation by your chiropractor ensures that your health goals will be met.

Neck pain, whiplash, and your chiropractor
The most common cause of neck pain seen by our downtown Seattle chiropractors is caused by a mechanical problem in the joints of the neck. Issues with these joints, referred to as facet joints, can cause mechanical problems which results in swelling, limited movement, and making muscles feel tight and sore. This is often the case with whiplash. Pharmaceuticals may provide temporary relief, but they don’t address the root cause of the problem, and as a result the pain usually comes back. Once diagnosed, mechanical neck pain is effectively treated with a combination of therapies offered within our clinic that generally include a chiropractor.
How our chiropractors treat headaches
If you’re suffering from headaches, your downtown Seattle chiropractor can recommend treatments and lifestyle adjustments designed to help relieve your pain. The most common variety of headaches are related to muscle tension, often due to poor posture at work or in the home. Studies suggest that a chiropractor can help you overcome or significantly reduce pain associated with headaches. Your Seattle chiropractor may also recommend other alternative treatments like massage and naturopathic care.
Upper cross syndrome and your chiropractor
Slumped posture is common in our society, and is often referred to as upper cross syndrome by chiropractors. Upper cross syndrome is influential in improper biomechanics and can lead to long-lasting pain and other health conditions that must be addressed by a qualified chiropractor. Sitting up straight will make a big difference, but most people who suffer from poor posture need help to change their ways.
At Graham Rehabilitation and Wellness, we can help. Our approach is a combination of:
- Care from a chiropractor to mobilize stiff joints
- Massage therapy to loosen tight muscles
- An active care program to stretch and strengthen the upper body to correct upper cross syndrome
This process of structural re-education will gradually return your body to a more normal and natural posture, relieving you from chronic pain.
Shoulder pain may also be addressed by our chiropractor
Shoulder pain is all too common and has many potential causes. Traumatic injury, repetitive use, muscle imbalance and postural stress can all lead to shoulder pain that requires evaluation and treatment by a qualified chiropractor. Loss of mobility and favoring a bad shoulder can lead to more serious and difficult problems, so it’s important that you talk to a chiropractor as soon as you can.
If you have been diagnosed with, or suspect that you have a common shoulder problem, you should have it evaluated by our downtown Seattle chiropractor. We offer highly effective, drug-free treatments that provide long-term sustained results. If other therapies or treatments have proven unsuccessful, it’s likely that a more comprehensive approach to your shoulder pain was overlooked and a chiropractor can help.
Our chiropractors have helped numerous patients avoid medications, injections, and surgical procedures with effective and safe treatments offered at Graham Rehabilitation and Wellness in downtown Seattle.
How your chiropractor can deal with foot pain
There are 26 bones in the foot, which makes it an extremely complex biological structure. Between each bone are joints that can be very pain sensitive when they’re strained or injured.
Our chiropractors often see foot pain resulting from an ankle sprain that is inadequately managed or improperly treated. Other issues that lead to foot dysfunction and pain include sports, poor-fitting shoes, and problems with weight. Most foot pain is chronic in nature and requires considerable attention from a chiropractor to resolve.
Adjustments from a chiropractor often help remedy foot pain by mobilizing the bones of the foot. In addition to treatment from your chiropractor, cold laser therapy can penetrate deeper in tissues than icing and has an incredible ability to reduce inflammation and promote healing. Physical medicine techniques utilized at our clinic may also be of benefit.
